My first attempt for The Joint.

Will add some kind of texture to the floor.
Also tried with more than one security, but it looks more like a band performing inside a bank...

Great idea Bun. I hate grey in pixelart so I would prefer to see a blue undertone added. Perhaps some metallic contrast to the door and boxes (top/sides) too. Unless this is a butter safe, the "gold" color is too yellow as opposed to gold. Also a red laser going across the door from the side of the boxes to the corner might add some interest. The door looks awesome but could be improved with a bit of depth, either inset by a px or 2 inward/outward.

I agree about the grey tones. Add a hint of blue and you're set. Also that yellow might work better with some orange in it. It'd make the gold more golden. I'd definitely like to see some more variation in colours on the safe boxes, etc.

yeah, gold needs to be more goldish
and maybe the guy should be standing like this with his gun in his right hand and resting against his right shoulder?

Thanks for the comments, guys! Help a lot. I love the ideas on the red laser and moving the door inward.
Still not sure about the metallic surface... I think I need some training on it.

With the blue it looks so much better! And also the gold looks more gold, but could look golder. The floor is nice, the lasers were a great idea. I would say this is almost finished.

Yea, that looks great. I will nitpick now. The video cameras look off in that blue, use the grey from the secutiry's shadow as the main color, the dingy looking blue from his clothes and the lens with the blue highlight color on his hat. I still don't like the "gold", perhaps the green color could be an orangy/browinsh/reddish/GOLD color. I understand if you don't see it, you're probably used to Canadian gold

I'll try work on the gold again. The floor look nicer than the plain floor, but I'm not quite sure about the color combination with the blue wall. I tried with quite some colors and endup wtih this before posting here last time. Just look kind of wrong to me... Any suggestion?

Nitpick is great, jalonso! Please point out more if you found!

I was looking at this again and thought of something. Assuming you're on Photoshop. Isolate the blue shades (boxes and door) then with the hue/saturation swing it over to green (color of money) then desaturate till you are somewhere between grey and green. This will free the walls to be another shade that compliments the spiffy floor.

Another version! Thanks for the comments and ideas!
It's awesome changing to green. Everything just go smooth after that! I think it's close to finish....

Still feel like it need to add some tiny little stuff to it. But can't think of what could go in there.

I'm definitely starting to feel it here. What I don't exactly like however is the peach walls. And what's with that brownish red dots on the floor?

now that's an update. It looks great. The gold is great. I really like the openings where the laser beams come out of. I was going to mention doing that and then thought you might say the openings where on the wall. I agree with alkaline's observation regarding the red color on the floor.

All of those needed to be fix. Both the blueish dot on the gold and the brownish dot on the floor. I was playing with it til' 2AM last night. Forgive me with the mistakes.
I was just trying to use some similar color to the original The Joint's wall. And kind of like the bright peach color myself. I know Bank Safe properly won't be using that color for the wall. The original idea of using light grey color with a bit of blue tint will be the right color for Bank Safe.

No problem.

That's the kind of shade for the wall I was thinking of, yes

Lol, this has turned out great, well done guys. I would take the dark lines from the clock and things on the left wall, maybe lighten the dark lines on the floor, but it looks sweet nevertheless.

Oh yeah, and i dont think id have the sign hanging on the side of the thingeys, perhaps have it indented (like a plaque). The corners of each (gah! cant think of a name) cupboard have weird lines going across, and theyre far too contrasted. I'd either take them out or tone 'em down.
