Just read Acherhar response. Makes sense now.
You're right, there's loads of entries for this challenge. Some excellent ones in there too.

user
kendi64 (Level 5 Detective) @ 3/26/2008 13:54
There were way too may entries to choose only 3 :(

user
AndyOaks (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/26/2008 07:19
I thought you'd won the 7seven challenge?
Are you talking about this weeks challenge?

user
mobichan (Level 1 Intern) @ 3/25/2008 13:35

Somehow I doubt I will be winning this one.  But I can always hope.    I think 7even definitely hit a sweet spot in terms of challenge theme.

(edit)  It seems like this was really 7 different challenges, so maybe we could vote for the top 3 pieces in each character class?

user
AndyOaks (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/25/2008 03:18
Well done Mobichan!

user
Cheshire (Level 1 Intern) @ 3/25/2008 01:37
I repeat, I don't mean ribbons I mean more radio-buttons.

user
Alenius (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/24/2008 16:53
Oooooh neet ^.^

user
Acherhar (Level 5 Lieutenant) @ 3/24/2008 16:52

No >.<

Mobichan won some challenge a while ago, the winners of the 7even challenge will be announced on Sunday. The winners of the Album Cover challenge are already posted.

user
Alenius (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/24/2008 16:49
So mobichan won?!

user
Acherhar (Level 5 Lieutenant) @ 3/24/2008 16:47

Main page, every Sunday they announce the new challenge and the winners from the previous challenge.

user
Alenius (Level 1 Rookie) @ 3/24/2008 16:40
When and where do they announce the winner / the others?

user
Reo (Level 11 Sensei) @ 3/24/2008 14:45
Voting was a BITCH!

user
BlackDragon (Level 11 Godfather) @ 3/24/2008 14:17

We really need something like an Honerable Mention ribbon. Or as others said 4th and 5th place ribbons D:

user
Acherhar (Level 5 Lieutenant) @ 3/24/2008 13:00
Which would require more ribbons :p

user
Cheshire (Level 1 Intern) @ 3/24/2008 12:25
No-no-no, we don't need more ribbons, we need more number of  votes!!!!

user
Acherhar (Level 5 Lieutenant) @ 3/24/2008 08:21
This was cruel and unusual punishment.

user
greenraven (Level 2 Hired Gun) @ 3/24/2008 08:06
Actually the dunce hat idea would work if PJ had that -1 red orb.

user
Larwick (Level 8 Regional Boss) @ 3/24/2008 06:56
Good points Dennis.
From now on, 4th and 5th place ribbons, just for pride!?
And a dunce hat trophy for those who come last LOLLOL.

user
Carnivac (Level 8 Shodan) @ 3/24/2008 06:55
I've known which are my favorite two for several days now, it's just picking that one more out of all the rest that's stumping me.

user
skamocore (Level 11 CEO) @ 3/24/2008 06:31
let's give out 90 different ribbons for this one :O

user
0xDB (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 3/24/2008 05:56
tomic "with entries kept secret <-> challenge thread !?"

That is why (near the end of my wild theory) I concluded that everything should probably stay as it is. Sorry for the  noise, I was just thinking loud.

user
Blackbeltdude (Level 7 Ichikyu) @ 3/24/2008 05:40
Aw, come on... shouldn't we be able to pick 7 different ones for this challenge? :P

This is the hardest voting I've ever had to do, and I think it's the most entries I've ever seen...

user
Skull (Level 11 CEO) @ 3/24/2008 05:06
Oh, so true. I did use Rush's piece as motivation and inspiration (I took note of some of the style and mixed it with my own).

user
jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) @ 3/24/2008 05:02
I love early entries myself. With the amount of crazy questions always asked nothing explains the rules better than examples.

user
tomic (Level 11 Admiral) @ 3/24/2008 04:58

but w/o seeing the actual entries, ppl won't be motivated to do last minute pieces to 'save' the challenge in times with low amount of entries (we often had this in the past)

also: with entries kept secret <-> challenge thread !?

user
0xDB (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 3/24/2008 04:45
To me, it seems that I often like the last minute entries more than anything that was submitted before and I think that's in part because of the last minute entries look new and fresh in direct comparison to the entries that I had already seen for a few days.

[wild theory]
It could also be, because those who submit last minute have observed the other entries too and continued to tweak/improve/redo theirs secretly (not saying that this does not take any skill, but I think it's an advantage over others to see what the current level of awesomeness is while keeping your own entry secret). Then again, of course nothing keeps anyone who submits early from doing this too, except that if everybody would do this, nobody could take advantage of it. :P

Maybe it would be more interesting though, if all entries would be kept secret by the moderators, until the deadline runs out and then all entries would be made public/visible at the same time, to prevent anyone from having an advantage. This however would discourage people from posting in the challenge thread, which is unwanted, because a good discussion and C+C between peers is always good and blah blah blah... give and take all pros and cons, in the end it's impossible to make it 100% "fair"(whatever that means), so I think everything should stay as it is.
[/wild theory]

Oh yes, voting was hard on this one.

user
Skull (Level 11 CEO) @ 3/24/2008 04:27
Aha - the sudden flurry of last minute entries has been this even tougher!!

user
Opacus (Level 7 Ichikyu) @ 3/24/2008 03:10
agreed....

user
tomic (Level 11 Admiral) @ 3/24/2008 02:45

voting took me something like 15 minutes..

there should be special ribbons for this challenge, 'her mayesties ribbon with oak leaves' or something

user
berkadam (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 3/24/2008 01:53
3 out of 90? Now that is cruel.

user
Cheshire (Level 1 Intern) @ 3/24/2008 01:44
I think it needs to change scheme of voting. To make number of vote-pieces depended on overall number of entries. For this challenge I have 6-7 pieces wich I really like and it's too hard to make decision...

Edit: that pal who made 6 (!) papercrafts is my HERO!

Edit-Edit: oh... it was jalonso

user
Mykola (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 3/24/2008 01:41

This is like the best and most unfair challange to date.

The end results should have at LEAST a top 10

user
Arbor (Level 1 Depressed) @ 3/24/2008 01:10
-weep- How can I possibly pick only three? -agony-

So many talented entries. D:
Oddly.. I like almost all of the beast rider entries. I wasn't expecting that, as purple tends to make me want to ralph. XD'

user
greenraven (Level 2 Hired Gun) @ 3/24/2008 00:34
This is going to take some time deciding.

user
skamocore (Level 11 CEO) @ 3/24/2008 00:17
yes D:

edit: lol@ 90 entries

user
sedgemonkey (Level 11 Master Assassin) @ 3/24/2008 00:15
Is this the toughest vote ever or what?
