Just a heads up -- you've used 22 colours, not 16.

They don't make them like they used to. Thanks! :)

Noted, and thanks! :)

Why, thank you! I'm quite pleased with these given that I've never seen one of those consoles IRL. I wouldn't call them perfect, though :)

Thanks for sharing. Mark Ferrari's colour cycling images are the bomb! I haven't finished the whole video, but I'm digging it so far.

Edit: Oh my god yes! He's actually showing how to make a waterfall using colour cycling *high pitched fanboy scream*

Oh! So you're DDDdrive? Chouette! I looked through my followes list and couldn't find anyone named Squirrelsquid :P

@Frario: Thank you very much! :) You and Snake are huge inspirations whenever I try to make something cartoony with pixels.

@Squirreksquid: Thanks! And yeah, that's me :) I should promote myself better, I guess :P

@Theoden:  Thank you very much! :) I've always loved cartoons.

Paul Bonner's pretty dank, mang. I should really check out more of his art. I haven't seen much even though I follow him on Facebook. I know Even Amundsen is inspired by a lot of his stuff, and I like Even Amundsen's art. Oh, and I'm glad to hear that you like the music :D

conceptart.org has already been mentioned, and permanoobs.org is another alternative which is really active (and crimson daggers but I don't know how active that place is). Keep in mind that all of the above is more concept art/digital art/traditional art than pixel art.

Thanks! I feel kind of bad for ripping off Snake. But then again it's kind of justified since I do that to really learn this craft. He's a master pixel pusher, after all.

By the way, I also made a song to go with the image (I usually do that with all of my pixel art). That might be of interest to someone.

I can't wait to see it! I might enter this challenge, and if I do Imma try out your process.

Fudge! You're right! Can't unsee! Welp, back to the drawing board to fix it, I guess. Thanks for the feedback!

Am I right in assuming that you've used this image as a base? If so, don't forget rule no 5: "Give credit where credit is due. If you use someone else's lineart or are inspired by someone else's work, remember to credit them. /.../ If the image is a trace or relies heavily on specific photographic material, then provide a link to this material."

This isn't supposed to be in the weekly challenge, right? It's not an exploded diagram.
